Life on the Farm
From the Farmer’s Daughter
Hello everyone, it’s nice to have a chance (and many more!) to talk to all of you. I think an introduction is in order.
Time – A Farm Perspective
Time passes by but our perception of it is different based on the lens we look through. Time is precious so we must spend it wisely. Today, staying in touch with each other is worth the time. Our family farm is finding a way to stay in touch while increasing the time we spend growing our farm
Merry Christmas
People are placed in our lives to help us follow Him and His plan. One such situation occurred this summer when we learned about 21 Roots Farm.
Welcome to Spring
The weather has been, well, the weather. Warm, cold, snow, rain, sun and clouds. April is always an interesting month. The farm is ramping up as we eagerly anticipate the start of the growing season.
Maple Syrup & More!
We have started tapping the trees, getting the gear ready and making certain we have enough bottles. Maple Syrup season is just around the corner.
Now for Something New
Yep, it’s been a long time since I posted. Sorry about that. This Summer passed as quickly as ever up here in Minnesota. Like everyone else, I could use another 6 months to get ready for Winter. But, we have some exciting news!
Simple Grilled Ham Steak
This is one of our favorites. It has fantastic smoked flavor and is so easy to make!
Low & Slow
Grass-fed beef and Pastured Chicken tend to have less fat around and within the meat therefore more attention to your cooking technique is required.
Crock Pot Roast
This meal has an amazing taste you wouldn’t believe how easy it is to make!
Beef Stroganoff
We love this recipe! It can be baked in the oven or cooked in a crock pot. Either way it’s delicious!
