Beef Stroganoff

 

2 lbs. round steak

2 Tb. olive oil

2 Tb. butter

1 small onion, diced

2 garlic cloves

½ lb fresh mushrooms, or 1 can canned mushrooms

1 can low sodium cream of mushroom soup

1 can low sodium cream of chicken soup

1 Tb soy sauce

1 Tb worcestershire sauce

½ cup red wine

1 cup sour cream

1 package egg noodles


Heat butter and oil in pan and add beef. When beef is browned, remove from pan.

Add onions, garlic & mushrooms and saute until onions are translucent. Add soups, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce & wine, stirring continuously until well blended. Add sour cream and stir. Add beef and stir to mix.

Cover and bake in 275 degree oven for 2 - 3 hours. Serve over cooked egg noodles.
